Using the AI Script Assistant

Let Claude help you write scripts faster. From a brief description to a structured script in a few minutes.

1

Open Script Assistant in your project

In the Animate editor, click the pen icon next to the script field. This opens the AI Script Assistant panel on the right side. The assistant is powered by Claude and understands context about your project - language, topic and target audience.

2

Describe what the video should cover

Write a brief description of the topic. Be as specific as you can. For example:

"We need a two-minute video for new warehouse managers about how they handle deviation reports in our quality system. The tone should be direct but friendly."

The more context you give, the better the first draft will be. Mention your target audience, desired pace and any specific terms that should be used.

3

Review and refine the draft

Claude delivers a script divided into clips, each roughly 10 seconds. Every clip has narrator text and suggestions for visual content.

Go through clip by clip. Typical adjustments:

- Shorten phrases that feel too formal - Add specific examples from your business - Remove clips that feel redundant - Change the order so the message builds logically

4

Iterate with commands

You can continue talking to the assistant to improve the script. Try commands like:

- "Make the intro more engaging" - "Shorten to 90 seconds" - "Add a clip about the reporting workflow" - "Switch to a more informal tone"

Claude retains context from the entire conversation. You can do as many iterations as you want until the script feels right.

5

Apply the script and move on

When you are satisfied, click "Use Script". The text fills into the editor, divided into clips of the right length.

From here you can:

- Run AI Autofill to automatically match visual blocks to the text. - Choose blocks manually from the Draft Library. - Edit individual clips directly in the timeline editor.

Script writing is often the most time-consuming part of video production. With Script Assistant you get a solid first draft in minutes instead of hours.
