Setting Up a Launch Portal
Create a white-label portal for distributing courses to participants outside your LMS. With analytics and automated reminders.
Create the portal
From the dashboard, select "New Portal" under the Launch section. Give the portal a name that describes the target audience - for example "Partner Academy 2026" or "Onboarding Q2".
The portal gets a unique URL that you can share with participants. The URL can be customised with your company name.
Customise the look
Launch portals are white-labelled - participants see your brand, not SkillGround's.
You can set:
- Logo and colour scheme - Welcome message on the landing page - Title and description for the portal
The result looks like your own learning platform, hosted by SkillGround but entirely in your colours.
Add courses and content
Choose which courses should be available in the portal. You can add:
- Courses built in Build - Individual videos from Animate - External SCORM packages
Arrange courses in the order participants should take them. You can lock courses so participants must complete one before the next begins.
Invite participants
Participants are added in two ways:
- Upload a CSV with names and email addresses - Add individual participants manually
When you activate the portal, an invitation is sent via email. Participants log in with their email and a one-time code - no passwords to manage.
You can group participants into segments to give different groups access to different courses.
Track progress and send reminders
The dashboard shows real-time statistics:
- How many have started, paused and completed each course - Average completion time - Participants who have not started yet
Automatic reminders are sent to participants who have not logged in within a set period. You can also send manual reminders to individual participants or groups.
Export the statistics as CSV for reporting to management.
