LÖF is responsible for patient safety training in Swedish healthcare and had built ten separate training websites on an aging Joomla 3.6/Autotech stack. The sites covered critical topics like CTG interpretation (cardiotocography), neonatal CPR, NEWS2, Swe-PEWS, and pelvic floor training. Each site had its own login systems, course structures, and user management with bulk registrations for entire healthcare regions. The aging technology made maintenance costly and created security risks. LÖF needed a partner who could handle the entire migration - users, content, login systems, and enrollment flows - without disrupting the active training programs.

The Solution

SkillGround carried out a complete migration of all ten training websites to a unified platform. The project included migrating all login systems and enrollment flows, moving user databases with bulk registrations for healthcare regions, and restructuring course content to the new platform's format. Each site retained its specific training content and target audience but gained shared technical infrastructure, unified user management, and modern security standards. The migration was planned in phases to minimize the risk of disruptions to active training programs that healthcare professionals depended on.

The Results

LÖF signed a four-year agreement with SkillGround and now runs all their training programs from a unified platform. Administrators manage users and courses from one place instead of ten separate systems. The new platform provides better tracking and reporting capabilities, and maintenance costs have decreased compared to the previous technical debt in the Joomla stack.
